A
modem is a kind of computer hardware that can translate the digital signal of
the computer into pulse signals that can be transmitted along the ordinary
telephone line, and these pulse signals can be received by another modem at the
other end of the line and translated into computer understandable Language.
This simple process completes the communication between the two computers.
The
so-called modulation is to convert a digital signal into an analog signal
transmitted on a telephone line; demodulation is to convert an analog signal into
a digital signal. Collectively referred to as a modem.
The role of the
4g lte modem is the "interpreter" of
analog and digital signals. There are two types of electronic signals, one is
"analog signal" and the other is "digital signal". The
telephone line we use transmits analog signals, while the transmission between
PCs is digital signals. So when you want to connect your computer to the
Internet through a telephone line, you must use a modem to
"translate" the two different signals. After connecting to the
Internet, when the PC sends information to the Internet, because the telephone
line transmits an analog signal, a modem must be used to "translate"
the digital signal into an analog signal before it can be transmitted to the
Internet. This process is called "modulation" ". When the PC
obtains information from the Internet, since the information transmitted from
the Internet through the telephone line is all analog signals, the PC must also
use the modem "translation" to understand them. This process is
called "demodulation". . In general, it is called "modulation
and demodulation."
